I've got 12 guys staying at MGM for a bachelor party later this summer (I know...too many guys, "sausage fest," etc...but it is what it is). We reserved 2 cabanas since we were told only 8 per cabana. Knowing that most of us won't be around the cabanas all at once, can we get away with just one, or do we really need both? I'd rather use that other $300 on drinks.

Any advice from experience is appreciated.

I dont think they will really police the cabanas that closely, and im sure there will be some wounded soldiers in the room, and some of the guys chasing the ass around....my feel is as long as you guys are drinking, spending money and not causing obsene havoc you should be ok with just one cabana. However I dont know the layout for the new wet republic, if it is a sunday this might impact the situation.....happy partying!

I agree no problem. However, you may not be able to get them all in without paying. Also, try and figure out the layout-so they do not put you in the worst possible one. I always make sure to have one of my guys get down there when it opens so they do not screw you.

What is the word on Wet Republic?

Haven't been to Wet Republik yet, but called about getting a cabana. Unfortunately, they start $700 for up to 10 people. At first that's not bad, but that's not all. The $700 cost can change, depending on how busy the weekend gets for them. And in addition to the cost of the cabana, you also have to spend an equal amount on food/drinks.

I don't have much experience with these "day life" pools, but that seems a bit expensive.
