Hello all...

Coming from the UK where the music scene seems to be prodominatly indie based at the minute and dress codes in the clubs are relatively relaxed, what am i to expect in Vegas?

Can i get away with wearing clean and tidy converse with shirt and smart jeans or are shoes a must?

What else should we be aware of?

Mike

PS - both of us in our mid twentys if that makes a difference (as it does here)

Mike, go to the JET Nightclub in the Mirage tonight from 10:30 pm to 4:30 am.

Here is the number for the JET Nightclub for cover charge, dress code, music, ect.

I recommend getting a free guest pass from the Mirage staff. It will save you the $30 cover charge. e-mail at

victorivlarson@msn.com if you decide to go so we can meet each other and go in together.

Be safe and fun

Body English and JET will definitely be the most friendly towards the converse shoes, I'd bring a pair of black leathers if you plan to visit any of the other majors.

Thanks for that... the last thing i want to do is turn up somewhere and get told that im not welcome in!

Why are the dress codes so strict? Is it purely to control volumes of people and to 'vet' those who are entering (like here in the UK) or is it to uphold the image of a club?

Thanks for your tipping guide too... We don't tip in bars here in Europe.. (and that pisses me off working in the industry!)
