I recommend it the PHO is tasty & relatively cheap, being that some of the best PHO is always cheap... shot out to all my peeps on the PHO List! dnix 05-30-2009, 03:58 AM Well the hell is PHO??????? nassau 05-30-2009, 09:12 PM Vietnamese dish of beef, noodles and soup. In this area the restaurants are referred to as Pho and then a number. For example Pho #79 IRockNvegas 05-31-2009, 02:12 AM its soup dnix, and they better not charge alot for soup! hahaa, that pho is getting popular around here where I live, my coworkers are getting "big ass bowls" and coming back full and worthless, ready for a nap. LOL I have yet to try it. dnix 05-31-2009, 07:48 AM like ramen??? brazeneye 05-31-2009, 03:20 PM It's vermicelli noodles in a beef broth with green onions and strips of meat. You get bay leaves (I think that's what they are) and been sprouts and you mix it in there. Best kind is Satay Beef bowl (spicy peanut sauce).. I want one now! Viet places have something called 'buns' too, which is vermicelli noodles (not a soup) with spring rolls, shredded veggies and meats. Really good too, and really filling. They come in really huge bowls. nyc2vegas 06-01-2009, 09:52 AM in the real estate biz its meaning isnt good.......PHOclosure.....PHObearance...meaning one is a casualty of the current economic crisis. Being Vietnamese myself, I will definitely try out the pho place at TI and give a review! andrewmoquin 06-09-2009, 01:54 AM Yes, i have eaten there twice! I recommend it the PHO is tasty & relatively cheap, being that some of the best PHO is always cheap... shot out to all my peeps on the PHO List! I've eaten at many a Pho places (in Vietnam, in Oregon, in Washington, in California and at another Pho place in Vegas), and have made it myself (being Vietnamese and all). I was so excited to find a pho place on the Strip so I decided to give it a shot! $10.00 for a bowl of Pho on the Strip sounded not so bad compared to how much everything else was. However, once I tasted it, I knew I paid TOO much!!! The broth lacked flavor. Perhaps they did that on purpose for people not familiar with Vietnamese food...who knows? All I know is, for $10.00 (on the Strip or not), I expected it to at least be decent! My husband and I were so disappointed, we did not even finish our food. I recently found out that Pho Hung (chain originated in Oregon) has opened a pho restaurant in Vegas - I'd probably go there next time I get a pho craving while in Vegas. jackcolton 06-17-2009, 04:30 PM I still haven't found a good Pho spot around here. :-( There used to be a chain place next door to Hard Rock that was pretty tasty, but all of the other ones I've tried have weird broth or bad meat texture. I even went so far as to try and make it myself.....$28 worth of ingredients later and I'm not doing that again! haha. Mike7T7 06-18-2009, 01:32 PM I defenitely want to know where a good pho place is eat since I used it as my hangover remedy mojo1108 06-25-2009, 07:34 PM I've been wanting to try the TI Pho too.. reviews have been at both end of the spectrum overall when I did research but more were on the positive side.. I will reserved judgement till I go.. and I like the fact its inside the coffeeshop so the finicky eaters can eat good old american food as well.. only thing is I wished the Pho opened later.. Would go down nice after a club! Mike7T7 06-27-2009, 02:42 AM Pho is fantastic after a night at the club to bad none of them open late so I usually get some to-go before I go out. I'm going to be checking pho at TI July when I go there hopefully its good. dogeaters 06-27-2009, 04:30 AM Well the hell is PHO??????? Lmao ... Dnix its a special type of lapdance that you get from Vietnamese Strippers! in the real estate biz its meaning isnt good.......PHOclosure.....PHObearance...meaning one is a casualty of the current economic crisis. Lmao @ NY.com :) He is PHOking my hero irl... The Guru of the board and has never even been to vegas :) Jack... I say give it a try... I am no super expert on PHO (and for Dnix .. its pronounced "Fuh") i actually had it for the first time on my vegas trip in March (that i never did a review for).. Stopped by a new restaurant in Temecula... Im Filipino and for some reason when i thought of Vietnamese food... i thought it just might be some dirty fish head soup... cause all asian countries have some sort of dirty fish head soup... any how my wife and i had it for our first time and we were hooked... our second time was at the TI restaurant... our third time was at a place in our town called MR Pho... we were enjoying it so much... we ate soup and sandwiches for 7 days straight ! LOL I had the Rare Steak Pho at TI.. pinched off some of the green leaves that BE said might be bay leaves... but i think it might be fresh basil :) added some sprouts and some fresh jalapenos (careful the seeds and veins are very very hot) and added some rooster sauce... which is that red asian hot sauce... wonderful... good water based beef soup with onions and cilantro, really helps the tummy out after some long nights drinking imo... There is also a Beef Stew kind that is also popular... kind of like an american beef stew done vietnamese style... I also HIGHLY recommend the BBQ Pork vietnamese sandwich served on a french baguette ... Has some sort of thinly sliced pickled carrots and onions, the bbq pork with little bit of mayonaise on a baguette... with CILANTRO, which in my opinion is the super ingredient... cause the only time we have cilantro is when we eat salsa or mexican food :) anyhow i gave the place an decent score... lots of meat on the sandwiches and the PHO was good and a big bowl... i gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Mr.Vegas 06-28-2009, 10:13 PM You guys should head off the strip and hit up the Asian center/Chinatown just right across the highway. Soups are damn good and cheap. Just take a taxi if you are visiting. PHO = hangover soup!!!! dnix 06-29-2009, 03:29 AM Lmao ... Dnix its a special type of lapdance that you get from Vietnamese Strippers! Count me in :D tangoplus 07-20-2009, 01:10 PM The leaves are basil.. but also sometimes mint.
