It's my 1st trip to Vegas Monday and I was talking to a co-worker about Blackjack and he mentioned that $5 table min blackjack is pretty rare on the strip? I'm mainly going to the nightlife etc, but I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of time at the casino's during the day to kill time and Blackjack is about all that interests me... So what's the scoop on this? Any cheap tables to be had on the strip? Thanks in advance!

On slow weekdays you can sometimes find $5 tables in any casino, but I know on busy weekends i have walked in "Bill's Casino" and played $5 tables so you should checked them out.

Summer weekends you likely won't find BJ tables less than $15. They milk it well :)

They're not that rare.

Casino Royale, Imperial Palace, and Circus Circus definitely have them.

You gotta hit up the low tier casinos for the cheaper games.

Agree... you'll also find them downtown.

Don't know if it's your gig but we had ball at Ceasars at the big ass video black jack table. The minimum is $5. The cool thing was that we controlled the pace of the game and it was right near a bar area so the waitress walked by us all the time. There are only two of them though.

But don't you miss interacting with the dealer? I think blackjack games where you have a fun dealer are the best games of all.

$5 blackjack is cool but $5 single-deck blackjack with 3-2 payout is the American Dream. Does this even exist in Vegas anymore?

Single deck $15, paying 3:2 is pretty common amongst the MGM-Mirage properties, and a few others. But, $5 single-deck with 3:2 payout is rare. I can't remember if I ever even saw this.

O'sheas may of had this like 8 years ago, but its long gone and is now 6:5. There are double deck games as well, but not at $5 3:2.

I like single deck, but at a full table most places will shuffle between each hand, or every two. It controls the pace of the game, but it seems less streaky

Yeah, only place you'll really find $5 3:2 blackjack is downtown these days, sadly. I'm actually surprised you saw a lot of 1 deck $15 3:2 on the strip. I almost never see that.

We need an AOD pact to never play at 6:5 tables. Shit makes me sick to look at...

OK unlike other posters who ask about $10k single bets, I'm a Low Roller, I'm looking for $2 Blackjack tables. Do they really exist? And has anyone played? I'm trying a theory that says you need a bankroll of 100 x the minimum bet. Anybody heard that theory? Ok no haters
pls :-)

I've never seen that anywhere....

Sounds like it could be some drunken fun though.

I hear you on the Videos BlackJack MissV over at Caesars! But RNJ also brings up a great point. Sitting there with the dealer and some other peeps trying to win is a blast. Until the wrong person sits down at third base and screws up the till and everybody loses. But that's Vegas!!! $5 at Osheas and Imperial Palace but only saw it there on weeknights.

I second that! I don't think I've seen that anywhere, at least not in brick and mortar casinos. you'll get that if you want to play online black jack (http://luckygaming.ca/online-casino-games/), other than that. nope sorry.

Up by the Sahara at at place which reminds me of Daytona or some other American car racing were doing $1 BJ when I was there in May.

Obviously not sure if it was still on. My friend who apparently 'wasnt gambling' was very keen to get involved and was over the moon being $12 up. lol

I'm pretty sure I played $5 blackjack at Bally's during my trip there a few months back, but I may be wrong.

And I think the Pleasure Pit had $5 tables? Or maybe they were $10 tables. Dammit - all I can remember is high fiving the hot dealer and winning $250 by the end of the night. It wasn't any more than a $10 table, though. I can tell you that much.

I too slow my roll, Mario. Slots-a-Fun has $3 BJ, as does Circus Circus next door. Sahara occasionally has $1 BJ and Casino Royale is cheap.

The $2 craps at Slots-a-Fun is actually pretty good. The table is right on the strip, drink service is fast and friendly.

Slots-O-Fun was actually $3 dollars craps & BJ when I was there a week and a half ago. Still awesome place to take $100 buck and kill some time without losing big.

Anyone know where to get the blackjack strategy cards? I have heard of them, but haven't actually seen them small enough to actually use. I am sure they wouldn't let me use my I-Phone app!

I found this online. http://www.online-casinos.com/blackjack/blackjack_chart.asp use at you're own risk, and remember, the house always wins; you just get to borrow some of you're own money back.

Thanks! I know the only way to be a guaranteed winner in Vegas is by keeping your money in your pocket! But, to me, gambling is entertainment that I pay for and stand only a slight chance of getting some of my money back!

Try www.hitorstand.net

It has a link to a strategy card and it also has a game function which marks you on making correct or incorrect moves and tells you what decision is the best to make if you get it wrong. I've learnt a lot quicker this way than just trying to read a chart.

You can usually buy a palm sized card for $3 at any casino gift shop. I know that at least some the Harrah's properties sell them. I would assume if one does, they all do.

I use blackjack as my way of getting lots of free alcohol before going out because you don't need to think in order to minimize your losses, you just need to be able to read; however, make sure you don't think that S on the card means split when it really means stay. It ended up working out for me one night as I kept splitting all pairs repeatedly, but I think Lady Luck was on my side that evening.

Just go to a place that is eligible for WIN cards. You get the strat information and a little extra betting money.
