Folks,
Some friends and I are starting up a beer blog up here and, when I'm down for the invasion in a couple of weeks, I'm looking for some good microbreweries/brew pubs to check out. If I don't come back with something good I might be out of the family. I'm aware of Gordon Biersch, but outside of that, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Ah, a man after my own heart. Here's a list of Vegas brewpubs:

I haven't been to any of them, so I can't vouch for or against them.

The Brew Pub at the Monte Carlo is pretty damn good. They've got two different locations.. (and perhaps they are different companies) but, I enjoy it.... good beer in a not so crowded location.

Did you ever make it to any Mystic?

I chilled at the Sin City Brew Pub in the Venetian for a couple...nothing to write home about. I think I drank at more mixology-type lounges than anything. I am firmly addicted to rhumbar in the Mirage. They make some great shit!!
Ah if only I'd seen this sooner. I haven't visited any of these but I have looked them up in preparation for my own trip. The Big Dog's Brewing Co. (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3098/?view=beerfly) sounds great. A couple of their beers are award winning (I know whose aren't?). They still sounded great and I think we might check this place out.
I'm also glad you liked the Rhumbar because that place sounds awesome to me. I might just drink them straight out of supplies for The Old Cuban.
I totally forgot to take a couple of the local SD brews...Stone, ballast point, Coronado brewing, there's alot of micro breweries out here. I'll be more prepared for the next invasion!!
