This isn't going to be the best start to a tr, partly because the trip hasn't really started yet. We should be halfway across the atlantic by now, but joy of joys we're still in manchester! Delayed flights mean we get to look forward to a night in philadelphia instead of vegas. But we determined to make up for the missed night over the next five days! So, the question is, does anyone have suggestions for what to do in philly tonight? Hopefully be posting from vegas tomorrow. Well, unlike my British cohorts and Loves, I've successfully arrived in Vegas! Currently enjoying (for lack of a better word) 90's teen movies on the telly and lounging about my bed.

I live in the uk mate and everytime I come over I take out a policy that covers me for while I'm in the us, dosent cost much and is definatly alot cheaper than the hospital bills. It's fucked up how your health service works but then ours is just as bad.

yeah I never trusted that whole credit card insuriance. The policy I had was fairly good (in the region of 1,000,000 GBP coverage) compared to the 100,000 of the cc.

We're FINALLY here! Chilling in Loves and Aria's room, waiting for ours to be ready, so we can be on the same floor (and therefore do lots of girl *does my bum look big in this* bits)

They jumped on us in the check in line and much hugging and squealing followed. Our AOD dogtags were put on immeadiately, before we even checked in!! Dumped our stuff in their room and headed to Lucky's for lunch. Lexty joined us a for a bit too then headed to the strip, whilst we've all got disco naps planned ready for Vanity tonight!

I'm feeling fine now though, thanks, it wasn't serious, but it was painful and would have gotten serious if I didn't do something about it. Got some antibiotics and now feel human again. I DO have insurance, of course, but when I called them they said they might not cover it...I will be arguing with them when I get home, but I can't be bothered to worry about it right now. We're here, finally and determined to have some fun!

Only one more minor disaster - my bottle of gin smashed all over the case, so we have glass and gin covered clothes! our luck has to change soon!!!!

Vanity last night. Pretty cool place.

Raped the shit out of their open bar. Paid $30 cover. No line. Got 8 drinks for free. I win...that includes one drink I stole from the bar (right after it was made)

Everyone I met last night was super cool. Actually remember the whole night. Been up for a couple hours. No hangover. Going to go gamble my brains out.

So this has been the trip from hell and I'm not even there.....yet. I started off at 8am with SexC and her friend. Got all the way to Hespiera and my oil light came on and then the car just up and shut off. Flip came to do an oil change to see if that would work...nope it sounds like shit. So I take SexC to her house and tell her to go on with out me. Shane and I head to In-N-Out because they can take my Vegas away but not my trip to In-N-Out! Call tow truck they pick my car up and drop it off at my house grand total $150. Vegas weekend as officially ended for me.......Or has it? My phone is blowing up from everyone telling me to still try to come. Cisco offers to pick me up at my house at 8:30 tonight. I think why not I'm already packed. So I will be on the side of the road with my luggage waiting for Cisco. Gotta love the friends you meet on here. Thanks to all of the crew I really appreciate you!

Last night was so much fun!!! AOD make shit happen!!!

So I had to go to the clinic for more meds yesterday and felt like shit most of the day, another $120 down from the doctors, but a disco nap and a G&T later and I was feeling ready for fun. :)

Aria came across (our room are literally opposite each other) and we drank a bit and got our shit together.
We head down to WS - it's dead, so we get stamped and come back up for more drinks in our room. Staying at the HR works for us :) SexC and her girl come by to say hi - nice peeps.
We head back down to WS about 11.30 ish. It's a bit busier and the music is good. I wouldn't call it a rock club by our standards, it's more cheese than rock, but it's fun. And a cocktail is only $8 - which works for me!
We dance a lot and chat to some boys ;) SexC and her girl are great and a good time is had.
At some point we head over to Carnaval Court to meet the other AOD (loves, Jenn, the chang, Lexsty and squiggles) Not happy about paying to get in (WTF?) but swallow it anyway. Dance a little, say hi, but it's not why I'm here. It's fun and all, but I want VEGAS clubs, not some dive bar.
So Aria and me and nick head back to Wasted Space, which frankly is dead - damn it. Try for Vanity, but it's not happening either. By now I'm pissed off. It's only 2 am and I'm not ready for the night to be over. BUT all is well, SoCal and Cisco arrive so we go up to their room for hugs and drinks! Now I'm feeling it :)
Grab some food at Lucky's with them and me and Nick decide to hit Drai's. Grab a drink up in our room, then head down stairs. Find Aria, Cisco, M2R and Socal in the taxi queue, so we jump in with them and head to PH to meet the other half of AOD.
End up drinking in PH till 7 am or so...and lots more stuff happened. Drinks, kisses, bad boys, good boys, girls, falling off chairs...fun times.
It's now about 1pm and we're about to all meet up and hit the strip - IF I can get my ass out of bed of course!

I totally forgot to post up about the $1 margarita incident.... Long story short is we get in line to get some $1 margaritas and Charles pull out a $20 and asks for that many margartas on top of the 6 that were already being ordered. So we walk out with 26 margaritas!!! It was like 9 of us drinking them too! Needless to say.... We raped the $1 margaritas in true AOD fashion!

An intro to any newbies/lurkers. Me and the hubbie are from the UK (duh!), we've not met any JCers before, although we've been in the same clubs and not found other, back in October. Since then we've chatted to a bunch of peeps on here and on FB and convinced them to come meet us for a pre-season AOD meet! The hubbie and I have an unconventional relationship, in that he lets me fool around. He has his reason's and the whole thing was his idea, but now I've tried it, I love playing around sometimes ;) Feel free to judge us all you want, but we're happy with our marriage and our play time! :D

I only just read through this thread properly - in Vegas I didn't have time and I just forgot when I got back!
Thanks for all the support over my sickness - still arguing with the insurance company, but sod it, it's money that's gone now, no use getting upset about it is there? At least I was healthy for most of the trip!

So that aside, the rest of the trip was incredibly awesome. It was made special by all the lovely JCers we hung out with, thanks all of ya for co-ordinating your trip's with ours - we had so much fun with you!!

Ok, so I left the TR after Friday night, where we'd split in two to do Carnival Court and WS....a recap of that evening...
As Dnix pointed out WS isn't really a 'Vegas' club, but it's still fun and has good music (as well as some cute boys - my rock chic side totally appreciated them!)
Cisco, Socal and 2MSR arrived around midnight and totally saved the night for us, they re-invigorated us, and somehow we all ended up at the bar in PH.
By this point in the night neither me or Aria have found anyone hot to play with. I had a brief kiss with a lovely tall boy in WS...but that's it...So drunkenly walking through PH I spot a cute boy and just basically ask him if he wants to go behind a pillar and make out for a bit, because I've not made out all evening (it's about 2am). He's like: sure...
So we make out, and he's cute, funny and Welsh (I think). Then after we've kissed a bit, I say that I thought he was gay as he looks kind of camp, and he's like "oh yeah, I am, but you were so beautiful I had to kiss you..." - *blush*

My ego is now happily restored to full power. I've had a talented kiss from a cute, gay boy and I'm with all my AOD brethren drinking happily!

But I'm still in the mood for meeting new people, so Jenn and I go scanning in the Heart Bar... I check out one of the PH rooms/bathrooms :eek: and a couple of hours later I return to the gang (after doing a few laps of the casino because I can NOT find them - even though they're right where I left them!) :rolleyes:

We all sit and chat some more, I'm now drunk and don't remember much...I did fall off a chair...not sure what else happened though!

We get back to HRH about 7 am, the sun is shinning and the sky is blue. I remember feeling so happy! Then I passed out in bed...of course!

The missing 2 hours??? Well, I don't remember it being anywhere near that long, but that's how long I was gone for apparently. And I don't really remember the details at all!

I met some 'not all that attractive' guy in the heart bar (I have a rather unflattering picture of him licking me - eugh!) I guess Jenn and I got chatting to him and his mate in the bar...there were probably drinks and I think I took the piss out of him a lot...I would imagine so, it's my defensive chat up plan when I'm not sure if I like a guy or not (pigtail pulling equivalent I suppose).

I guess I decided I liked him since we made out. Then I think we wandered around the casino trying to find the gang, but didn't (which I repeated solo later). So we went up to his room, his mate was in bed so we made out in his bathroom - which sounds seedy...and probably was to be honest....but I remember it being clean and really big, it was a huge room...

So we fooled around in the bathroom...(2nd/3rd base for those wanting details) but by then we were both very drunk and I think at some point I just stood up, said "this isn't working for me" and walked out...He didn't have enough talent to make it worth hang around for. And the marble in the bathroom was hard!

Then I was doing laps downstairs until Nick came and found me...

Saturday
The sun was still shining when we woke up, the blue skies were so beautiful after a long cold winter in the UK. Unfortunately the affect was ruined by the gale force wind that was blowing – the rehab beach resembled a dust storm and the palm trees were seriously bendy (a bit like Aria as it happens, that girl is limber!). The whole hotel was whistling with the wind, kind of crazy.
So no chilling by the pool for us (I was destined to stay milkbottle white for the whole trip, although to be honest if I had spent more than a couple of hours by the pool I’d have probably turned into roast crispy BV – I do not tan well!)

Cisco, 2MSR, SexC and her girl were already on the strip, so we got our asses in gear , grabbed Aria and cabbed over to the Venetian.

As soon as I step out the cab my flip flop breaks. The looks on the security guys faces as I walk barefoot through the Venetian...Btw. there's not a lot of selection for affordable shoes at the Venetian! I ended up getting the second most ugly pair of flipflops (yellow with the vegas sign on them) from the tourist tack shop. For the record the ugliest pair of flipflops in the world are covered in neon letters spelling out Vegas - sexxxxy!

We meet up with the others, who have already been to Casino Royale to get $1 margaritas – which clearly put them in a good mood! Hugs and squeals and photographs with random passing girls (who had serious frozen marg’s none of this $1 shit for them!)
We headed inside coz me and the hubbie were starving. Had a burger from Jonny Rockets (it was so, so). Charles (or squiggly) joined us and told us he’d got laid that morning…maybe he had, maybe he hadn’t…who knows?!
I told him his hat looked stupid and tried to make him take it off. But he wouldn’t. A recurring theme – he looked way better with out it, god knows why he wouldn’t listen. He thinks I was being mean, but I was doing him a favour really! Maybe he just liked me wrestling it off him the whole time ;)

At some point Jenn and her OH, plus Socal join us and we head up the strip. We stop to get more frozen margs from Casino Royale. Me and the OH get a couple each then Aria steps up and orders 26! The bar looked pretty cool covered in drinks, and all a dollar each – AOD budget style! I think nearly everyone had 4 drinks in their hand except me (I was still feeling a bit rough from the night before so only had 2!). We head back out on to the strip and take over the sidewalk. Cisco was trying to sell his drinks at a $6 a piece…

We cross to the Mirage, where we set up our own bar at the travel desk – holding frozen drinks for any length of time is just painful! We mix up our red and green alcoholic slurpees , have a few giggles and also notice just how much Aria leaning against the wall on her own, in her shades, looks ready to be propositioned. Luckily no one asked for her rate as I don’t think they’d have been leaving the Mirage with all their teeth.
We head over to look at the fish tanks and all stare mindlessly at them for sometime (btw I LOVE the fish tanks!)
As we pass by Jet we say hi to the promoter on the door who asks us if we’re heading there tonight. Funnily enough it hadn’t occurred to us, but we hadn’t made any other plans either. So he offers us all free entry (guys included) and an open bar for the girls till 12. Erm…ok then! So a simple plan for the evening is made,. The evening doesn’t turn out to be that simple, but you know, when are things ever simple with over a dozen people?

We head back out on to the strip and walk up to Planet Hollywood talking bollocks and still drinking our margs.

Time for my disco nap so we head back to the HRH with Aria. (for the record if you’re going off strip a cab from PH makes a lot of sense, as it can exit out the back and not have to contend with the strip traffic. Seeing how backed up things were at Paris I’m really glad Aria remembered this or we might have been napping in the cab then turning right round to come back!)

The suspense is building, can't wait for the finale. Good tip on the PH taxi and getting off strip, I'll have to remember that one.

Saturday Night

Aw man, that feeling after a disco nap is so shitty, it's a really struggle to get out of bed and part of me just wanted to lay there and sleep forever, but soon as we put some tunes on and i get through a gin and tonic (as I shower) I'm really psyched for the night to come!
Saturday night, everyone is heading to the same place and we're going to PARTY!!!

Because of our naps and the need to do my hair 'just so' we don't make it to the Carriage House to pregame with Cisco and 2MSR :-( But Aria and I have fun getting ready together as always (she's very kind and lets me share her makeup since mine is missing (I left all my make up at home - doh!) and her straightners, since my don't work properly in America - damn your weird electricity supply!

Ok, so we're all spruced up and ready to hit the town. We head straight over to the Mirage and Jet although it's rather early. We're the first there and after wandering around a bit and checking the line (not much at this point) we sit at the 1 cent slots to kill some time. I'm making my $1 last a while to pass the time, but Loves, Drew and his sis arrive so I try and get rid of it as quickly as possible. I'm not sure what I do, but it suddenly turns into $44!! Win!!! At last our luck is changing, I decide it's going to be a good night!

The rest of the gang arrives. The complete line up, as far as I recall: Me and the hubby, Aria, Drew (aka the Chang), Loves, The Chang's sister, Cisco, 2MSR (Cisco's bro), SexC and her friend, Jenn and Will, SoCal, Charles squiggly, Lexsty - 15 in total and an evenish split guys and girls.

This is where things get a bit odd. It's still early, prob around 10 ish, we head over to the line to see what's happening. Most of the guys are all at the front of the main line, behind a rope, and we're all stood around chatting and talking bollocks. Somehow it ends up with the girls being moved into one of the separate lines right in front of Jet. I'm never really clear on how or why this happens. For those of you that haven't been to JET they have a really weird queue set up, which I still don't really understand and frankly just looks like a cluster fuck most of the time, but with about 5 diff lines, plus a roped of bit where people just kind of wave cash around and try and get the host's eye.

Anyway all us girls are in one of the front lines and the guys are in Gen admission, but not far back at all. Anyway, as the club starts to open the line the girls are in doesn't move at all, and neither is the guy's. Some girls behind us are talking shit at SexC and her girl, which I missed, but frankly we're all not in the best of moods. We start out ok, chatting and taking boob and leg pics...but none of us are used to hanging around to get in, plus we don't know how messy it's going to be for the guys.

I head out of the line to see how they are and talk to the host/bouncer manning our line, anyway I talk him into letting a couple of the guys come in with us...so Nick and Drew (I think) come into the line with us. All ok, till some goon comes over and shouts at them, saying WHAT you think you can just cut in line like that??....we try and say we got permission, but fuck it, we all know there's no point arguing. Somehow Socal and Jenn head out of the line...I don't know where they went.

I head back to the boys to see what they're doing and Drew is trying to figure something out with a host. I stick with them as I know the 6 guys aren't going to go anywhere with out some girls with them! The boys exit the main line and head round the side, just as we watch the rest of the girls head in.
We hang around for a bit, with Drew sorting something out with his host. Eventually (maybe 15 mins) and after some confusion we head in. They guys all use their free cover passes once they get past the goons. I dunno how much they greased in total...but maybe the free cover cancelled this out?

I get a couple of free tickets for drinks and proceed to hit the 2 diff bars for some vodka and cranberry and then hand them to Nick and go fetch more tickets and repeat :-)
It's still early and quiet in the club. I'm feeling sick with hunger having not really eaten all day somehow, so I decide to go hunt down some food out in the Casino. I get stamped on my way out and marvel at the ridiculous line that now stretches way back into the casino floor.
I manage to find Jenn, Socal, Will and SexC in one of the restraunts, which works out brilliantly for me as they have a massive pile of fries that I raid ravenously :-) Thanks guys! Jenn, Will and Socal decide to not bother with Jet and head over to PH (I think?) But me and SexC head back to Jet. She has been in already, but didn't get a stamp for some reason. I say we'll sort it ok.

We head back to the cluster fuck and frankly get a bit pissed off at trying to catch the host's eye to flash my stamp and get back in. He sees SexC doesn't have one, but I convince him she's fine and we eventually get back in. But I got to admit to being really annoyed about the whole mess. No where else has been that much drama to get in or to get re entry. Grrr!!

By this time we've missed the open bar and I'm pretty damn sober. It's not really going to plan. Everyone else is doing great though, they've set up camp next to the bar. Lex has a steady flow of fat/ugly/goth type girls and so he's happy. Loves and Drew are being cute with each other (and perhaps a litle bit with Nick!)
Time for a large G&T (I ask for no ice and get a tiny tiny glass - not F***ing happy - in XS you get the same size glass and just twice as much booze with this trick) JET really isn't my fave place. Anyway, time for an explore. I grab SexC and go scanning...sigh. Nothing much pretty catches my eye. I chat with a guy who's dressed pretty sharp, but other than that there's not much happening.

I do like that there's 2 rooms (sometimes 3) in JET, theoretically playing diff music. Although in fact, the side room starts to play the same song that was just playing in the main room as we walk in...not clever!

We head back to our spot and go do some dancing. Aria is totally bendy and doing some funky moves. Lex is hitting on some fat girl and me and Nick are just giggling at the 80 year old dude with grey hair on the dance floor. I'm begining to feel good.

Dance, drink and repeat for a bit.

Some guy comes to talk to me, I can't decide if he looks good or not in his cream tuxedo jacket..but decide to give him the benefit of the doubt when he asks us to join him at his table. I grab some of the girls and he says to bring everyone/whoever - they need to kick up the notch on their batchelor party. About 5 or 6 of us head over, but for some reason only I go in and the other stay outside the rope. I guess I didn't translate the message to them very well.

The party is indeed a bit flat, so I get the waitress to pour them all shots and we all shoot huge vodkas down, one after the other, including the waitress. She's getting into it, as am I, but the dudes just seem too sober. I decide free drinks aren't worth hanging around with boring people for, and head back to the gang.

Around this time a group of pretty hot guys and girls gather next to us all at the bar. Turns out they're all workers/hosts at JET/Mirage. Sigh. So they're the hottest group in the club, but I want to hate them for the shittiness of JET overall...but my sluttiness wins and I end up chatting up a couple of the guys. I decide that the smart alec black guy with the glasses*** (I love guys in glasses for some reason) is the one for me. So we stand and make out for some time. Chat about nothing and everything. He's a good kisser and I'm having fun, but I'm not ready to head home with anyone, as the night is still young, and to be honest he's not that interesting. I guess I'm pretty fussy. I like to be challenged intellectually and also they need to be pretty hot...

***I'm describing him like this so people can play "spot who BV snogged" with my photo album. I have no idea if this is politically correct or not, so forgive me if it's not!!! :p

So I say goodnight and rejoin everyone else. I have no idea what everyone has been up to, who's made out with who etc...you'll have to ask them!
But we're all done with JET. The music was good, the atmosphere is ok and the crowd was so, so. BUT I guess it was a pretty cheap night for us all and I did kiss a hot guy.

Most of the gang want to head to PH again but Nick and I decide to see what Drai's is like.
We like to walk, so even though it's cold we walk up to Bills. (Luckily he's a gentleman and lends me his jacket). He's in a great mood, because he's been watching me make out with a really hot guy right next to him :-)

So this has been the trip from hell and I'm not even there.....yet. I started off at 8am with SexC and her friend. Got all the way to Hespiera and my oil light came on and then the car just up and shut off. Flip came to do an oil change to see if that would work...nope it sounds like shit. So I take SexC to her house and tell her to go on with out me. Shane and I head to In-N-Out because they can take my Vegas away but not my trip to In-N-Out! Call tow truck they pick my car up and drop it off at my house grand total $150. Vegas weekend as officially ended for me.......Or has it? My phone is blowing up from everyone telling me to still try to come. Cisco offers to pick me up at my house at 8:30 tonight. I think why not I'm already packed. So I will be on the side of the road with my luggage waiting for Cisco. Gotta love the friends you meet on here. Thanks to all of the crew I really appreciate you!
