View Full Version : Hypnosis
Anyone go to any of the hypnosis shows? I've seen Anthony Cools a couple times, and another one that was really cheesey I think it was in the Flamingo.
Anthony Cools show is funny, and it gets really raunchy. Saw a total D-Bag macho guy strip off down to his underwear that had a skidmark showing in the back.. and slowdance with another guy.. he got really mad afterwards when he somehow realized what was going on..
I was wondering would you volunteer to be hypnotized? and have you ever been? I'm too chicken to do it.. I'm scared I might do something extremely weird under hypnosis, or I won't wake up..

I dunno I think that stuff is all staged. I mean it's kinda weird that if you can get people to do whatever you want under hypnosis then why is this guy doing shows why doesn't he just go to ppl and hypnotize them to give him all their money or tell them their PIN code and just rob them?? I have never been so maybe I just don't get the whole concept
pcket5s 03-05-2010, 08:32 AM We used to have a hypnotist come to my college every year back in the day. I never believed in the stuff until I saw it in person, and actually had a friend get hypnotized. Its my understanding that the hypnotist can't make you do anything he wants, only stuff that would be willing to do like if you were in a room by yourself and didn't give a shit, like pretending your a duck or watever...

that and i think you have to have an open mind about shit too! its funny i was just watching a CSI episode about a hypnotist chic that hypnotized a chic that worked at the bank and then robbed her!
dks67 03-08-2010, 02:57 AM Back when i was in high school we had a hypnotist come in, a friend of mine on student council that was organizing it all needed one more person to partake and so she asked me. Shit works. He said some sutff at the end of the show about when we wake I up we'll remember everything we did. I almost died when i realized how badly i'd embarrassed myself. My friends all laughed at me but i was humiliated.
SunFire 03-08-2010, 08:15 AM I dunno the whole thing just seems off to me but I mean if you guys are saying it happens well I guess I gotta take your word for it now I just wanna maybe have it happen to me I wonder how it would be.
NyceGuy 03-08-2010, 09:17 AM I've never been hypnotized but I had a friend who was. She said it felt like you were compelled to do whatever actions they asked. Like scratching an itch or something.
I'd never do it. We have this hypnotist that comes to our uni every year, and he gets people to do some fucked up stuff. I think the worst thing is he gets people to stick their hands down their pants and 'pleasure' themselves.

lol yea I think some guy even came to our uni and does that shit....now I'm thinking I wanna learn!
I think hypnosis really does work.. i've seen people do some really weird things. It's funny, cause when you go to those shows, there are about 20 people that REALLY want to be hypnotized.. so I think some of them might be faking a bit cause they wanna be up there hamming it up.. but some ppl really seem to be under..
There's actually a "seminar" for guys on picking up women by using hypnosis. that's really weird. so ladies.. if some guy tells you to look at a pendulum going back and forth, and you're getting so sleepy... beware.
smithshn 05-24-2010, 08:32 AM I have not seen the hupnosis shows. But as your description about it I will see it. Because as your description it is funny show and I like to show a funny show very much. It is new style of comedy.

Damn! Good think I left my pendulum at home for the invasion! Or maybe bad thing?!? :D
rawlo5660 07-10-2010, 10:46 AM I have hypnotized several people now (no lie) and I can tell you that it does work. I have even performed instant inductions that I thought would never work in a thousand years. The first time I hypnotized someone, I tested that saying that every hypnotist says...,"A person will not do anything they do not want to do". That statement is incorrect. I hypnotized a friend of mine and had him bark like a dog, changed his name, and all sorts of off the wall things. All of which he said he would never do. He did not remember a thing and when I told him what he did he was beyond pissed.
VegasMish 08-17-2010, 01:55 PM I love Marc Savard's Comedy Hypnosis... I've been to that show like 10 times..
xkrazymattx 10-25-2010, 03:22 PM Ive been up on stage for hypnosis unleashed before and it was some pretty crazy stuff. He had me doing all sorts of things that I would never do if I knew what i was doing. The crazy part about being hypnotized was that I knew what I was doing the WHOLE time, I just didnt have a care in the world. I forgot I was up on stage, I forgot there were people in the audience, I just felt I was in my own world. No1 else existed. I also saw Marc Savard and he was freakin halarious!(didnt participate though.. not down to get up infront of like 600 people)
Kevin marshall 12-02-2010, 09:32 AM Skeptics, above all others, should come and see for themselves. Even if they leave unconvinced, there's no denying the hilarity of watching someone in your group believing with their whole heart that their gender has been reversed. But cynic after cynic has come out of a show with a new attitude, after seeing friends and strangers completely changed.
The best way to undo skepticism is personal experience. A common response from volunteers after returning from their hypnotic trance is: "I wasn't hypnotized. What happened?" They don't remember doing their best Britney Spears impression at the top of their lungs in front of an audience, and it's not until they see the video of themselves that the conversion happens.
