Well i did not see this thread and did my own introduction, but here is a little more detail.
I am 30 years old. Was an owner of 2 restaurant/bars in virginia but sold one in November so now just have one. I also am a realtor, but only for friends or myself. I love to cut loose and have a good time, but being in the business i have to hold myself back in my hometown so the employees and customers still view me in a certain light. BUT when i get away it is a different story!

I've traditionally come to Las Vegas for both Business and Pleasure. This trip is no different, except the ratio is 1/2 day Business, and 3 1/2 days Pleasure. The only way to do it!

Times are tough, but I am a firm believer, that for You're Entertainment $$, Las Vegas is the place to go and have a great time.

This time, I'm coming down with two friends for my birthday. This site has helped me A LOT with planning everything, so thanks everyone and keep the tips coming!

As my username suggests, my name is, indeed, Christopher. I am 28 and a flight attendant--or steward, if you prefer--which means my job provides me with the opportunity to layover in Vegas or fly there for free whenever I am off, but it pays me such that I can't afford to do much when I get there. I have been to Vegas 3 1/2 times: 2 layovers, once to buy a car, and once just to the airport. The frequency with which I will visit Las Vegas in the future will be determined by the old hag flight attendants senior to me: when they want to gamble they will bid for the Vegas layovers and get them, and when they think it is too hot I might have a chance at them. Thus, I could be in Vegas multiple times per month, or it could be months between my visits.

i always come for big fights and was just there for Pacquiao/ Hatton and headed over the Jay-Z and Diddy after party at Tao. got there at about 11:45pm and I had NO CHANCE lol. i was down to get the bottle and table, but i was totally lost on where to go and who to talk to about this. i was disappointed beacuse the women that night were OMG, 10's everywhere. first time i felt dumb not having a plan in Vegas, never needed one, no problems at clubs, and always had a blast. coming back july 4th weekend and july 18 for Mayweather fight and im doing my research first this time!

Started going out to Vegas with the homeys right after college graduation. Have kept the annual tradition alive for the past 4/5 yrs and try to sneak in an additional 2 or 3 trips a yr for fights or concerts. My name is Liz, I'm 25, and I just got married in April. I currently live in Gilbert, AZ (suburb of Phoenix). I'm a student and run my own business with my husband. I started going to Vegas in 06 and have been back every year at least 2-3-4 times! I love it! I was there in March for my bachelorette with 5 other girls (2 my sisters-great partiers) and we had an awesome time. I have to say my fave club is Jet, I usually love their music and the dance floor is generally not overcrowded. Last time we were there, we made friends with some guys in VIP so that was fun.
Oh and fave drink is champagne-perrier jouet when I can afford it-then patron silver margs, then red bull vodka, then I'm usually very drunk!

So, my next trip is scheduled for July 16-20...staying at Mandalay, love their pool. Going with 3 other girls so far, hoping to get more. I can't wait! We love to party, hit clubs, gamble-craps!-and just have fun, meet new people. :)

Well, perrier comes in many price ranges. They have $40 bottles, then they jump to $100++. I've had the $100 ones but mostly drink the $40-I'm no high roller! :)

If you are gonna be there let me know. I've only been to Rio once, on my first visit. My bro in law gets free offers from them all the time!
We are probably going to do the Mandalay pool by day (maybe go to Bare on the Saturday) and then go clubbing at night. I'm sure we'll be at Jet, but my sister wants to try some new ones. We've never gone over to the Wynn ones and people rave about them on here, so we'll probably check it out.
We never wait or pay at Jet or Tao, Palms, and the ones run by the LAX people (Pure, etc?) but we haven't met a promoter yet for Wynn, so hopefully we can.

I know there's a big fight that weekend at MGM, so it should be a fun weekend!

I'm Pete from Chicago (Naperville actually) and I too am attracted to this city of fun and excitement. We visit at least 3 times a year (for several weeks per visit) and have been trying to buy a second home in 89149 for some time now. I'm not a big fan of Chicago winters, yet the nightlife makes up for it year round.

My practice is called Herc Networks and we supply computer network solutions to small businesses and are probably going to expand to LV soon.

My drink of choice is Goose on the rocks with a lemon after giving up Kettle cranberries in a feeble attempt to cut calories.

Going to Vegas during January 2010 to celebrate becoming old (21! I hope I make it!) but doing it solo until I make a few friends over there :) So far I've been to London and New York on my todd, and hopefully Belfast in August and Moscow during Christmas, so I know I don't have to worry about being to scared. Hope to be going for at least one week between my uni exams.

I'm heading back down on July 30th for 5 days.

My favourite drinks:
I am a collector of fine cognacs and tequilas and enjoy every sip! Liquor tax is quite high in Canada so each trip to the US I make a point of finding at least 1 or 2 nice bottles to bring home. As far as casual drinks go, I'll usually opt for a Gin and Club Soda.

i'm nina, will be 29 Aug 3, and live in TX although i'm originally from Philly. Currently an indentured servant aka graduate student, haha. because of the extreme ridiculousness of this "job," i try to get to LV as much as possible, which has been made difficult by these damn airfares. But I try to go about 3 or 4 times a year, more when I lived in San Diego. Fave drink is probably grape juice, lol. not much of a drinker as i'm usually in LV solo and need to be able to find my way home..... but anything with kahlua or amaretto if i sip slow enough :eek: just wanna say thanks to all ya'll out there for your hilarious and informative posts and thanks JC for providing me a way to waste time during the work day (and I use the term work VERY loosely. its research after all ;)

Been a long time avid fan of the forum and will be in LV late August on the way back from conference and hosting customers on the East Coast.

To answer your question, probably all of the above. Its winter here now so the getting some sun is a priority. Other then that I pretty much enjoyed most of Vegas when last there so not too fussed as long as I don't waste anytime.

This is the first solo trip there though and am not sure how to make the most of that (even though it is by design as I want to enjoy the freedom of doing what I want when I want)....which places to hang out, how not to spend half the time standing in queues....
