I've been to several others in NV. IL. IN. & MN. For me it's a toss up between Paradice in Peoria IL. & Harrahs in St. Louis MO. Looking forward to hitting up St. Louis first w/e in March after a 6 yr hiatus, hope it's still just as fun.

Harrahs in Metropolis IL & The Argosy in Lawrenc IN. are the worst casinos I've been unfortunate to visit.

Of the three in Detroit... I like MGM. It's the cloest to a Vegas feel. Greektown is ok... It's a good place to park and walk to a Tigers / Lions game or bars and food. Motor City Casino blows...

Argosy is now Hollywood Casino and it's sooo much better.

I like Borgata in AC but i think it's more cause it's really easy to get comps there.. first time i was there, only played slots (I bet really small too), and subsequent times i was there, got comped free rooms on weekends and even a suite once. there musta been some kind of mistake. .
Went to Atlantis (bahamas) as well, which is nice, but still like vegas ones better.

other than that, there's a casino in Washington that I love cause the dealers rock there, but i completely forgot the name.. the dealers keep their own tips rather than pooling it with the other dealers, so they truly want you to win..

the worst casino i gambled in is probably trump casino in AC..and pretty much any casino in vancouver/vancouver area

Agree with you on the Borgata - great casino. Probably the only casino worth going to in AC [the Trop's debatable, Ceasar's ok]. The new Parx casino outside of Philly's not too bad for gambling - should be even better once table games get installed in the summer.

I had heard there was a new casino there...so it is just the old Argosy turned into Hollywood Casino, or is there a second casino in that tiny little town? I liked the Hollywood Casino in Tunica, MS wonder if their under same ownership?

BOOOO HISS HISSSSS. it's sooo good. best. sub. ever.

Besides the casino, one of the reasons I'll go out to AC from New York is for this damn sub.

what did you think of AC casinos anyways? the people, vibe, etc.

I was actually surprised by the inside of the AC casinos. Harrahs and Borgata were busy and looked great. Borgata is on par with the higher end Vegas casinos. Even the Trop and Caesars palace impressed me, especially when you compare it to the Tropicana in Vegas.

The lines for the clubs were insanely long like Vegas, but the diversity was lacking in the clubbing crowd compared to Vegas.

Gamblers look the same everywhere.

The major difference lies in the energy, especially outside the casinos. Vegas is filled with people and energy all over the strip. AC is not. You come out of one casino and it's like you're in just a regular city with some people walking around here and there. Just not the same.

Last time I was in AC, I got drunk and started walking around the casino while talking on the phone with god knows who. Then I walked outside and walked around at like 5am. Took me an hour to find the entrance back inside.

I find the gamblers are a different breed in AC.. they are much more hardcore. and the "fun" vibe is missing in AC too. Plus it's depressing walking around outside there.

I haven't been to a club in AC! But I doubt I'll be going to AC for awhile.

Yeah, the borgata is nice.

Thank you. Yep, everything intact. I even stopped by a hot dog vender and ate. Great success!

I agree 100%. Inside places like the Borgata or the Harrah's pool party at night you almost feel like you're in Vegas, but once you step outside.. forget it.

Hammond Indiana has a casino. Its tight theres all these factories and than theres a casino. You can get right up to Chicago on the road its on too.

I've been to Horseshoe Casino @ Hammond many times. It's a Harrah's property, so you can use same rewards card and it's only about 15~20 min drive from Chicago.

BUT it sucks.
The casino itself is not that bad. They have many tables and slots and the layout is good enough. It's just the people inside. You can tell the people there are the kind of people that shouldn't be gambling with their money...
And the casino doesn't have a hotel. Which is a weird concept for me.

So the only reason I frequent this place is when I feel like gambling a little and stocking up on rewards points for when I go to Vegas.
