View Full Version : What's your favorite casino for your favorite game?
IndyColtsGal 02-02-2010, 08:25 PM So what are your favorite places for your favorite games?
I'm a craps girl....Casino Royale had the best odd's on the strip but it's so dirty. My best luck @ craps in Vegas where at Venetian and Mandalay Bay. Though Planet Hollywood was nice to me the last time I visited her.
Best night at the black jack table was at Wetward Ho.
DJ Ran 02-02-2010, 08:50 PM Usually play at MGM & Harrahs properties so I can keep the comps coming in. Black Jack, Roulette and the Slots.:)
manda 02-09-2010, 01:16 PM I had the best luck playing at NYNY last time with Craps.
IP and Excalibur were the worst to me. Horrible! I might as well have just handed them all my money when I walked in. Horrible rollers!
I usually stick to lower limit tables since I dont have a ton to give away :)
Ive done well however at Venetian before.
partyinvegas25 02-09-2010, 01:26 PM I've had my best luck at MGM and NYNY...also good luck DT at golden nugget. I have always struck out at casino royale, planet hollywood, palms, and flamingo. I have found the craps players at palms to be so annoying. Last time I played, this idiot next to me kept freaking out/got mad every time a # (not a 7) was rolled that wasn't his...he was playing 6 and 8's only. It's like dude, numbers are a good thing and let's keep the table's energy good!
But, I know that for pp who gamble a lot, they love casino royale for the max odds thing.
NyceGuy 02-09-2010, 07:28 PM Fremont had some low limits when Cisco and I went, and I was doing pretty well playing craps.
Ryan111778 02-10-2010, 09:34 AM For Blackjack the Palms is by far my favorite
madscientist 02-10-2010, 10:41 PM For craps, i always do well at the IP and Casino Royale. O'Shea's sucks for me. Caesars and Venetian also good for craps. And I actually learned how to play from some random guy at HRH, who was a ROLLER for sure. made so much $$$ with him....
Slots, for some reason i've only ever hit at Rio. not that i play machines much.
no luck with blackjack anywhere in LV, but Harrah's in New Orleans is GREAT
calieigh 03-05-2010, 01:29 AM The monte carlo in vegas has an old horse racing game in the back.
It takes nickles and dimes and you bet on a horse, if yours wins you win everybody else’s money. ITS THE BEST!
Skinny Larry 03-09-2010, 01:33 PM Casino Royale still have 100X odds on craps? If so, that is the place to play. Just get a tetanus shot before you step in that joint
chrisl84pia 05-27-2010, 07:16 PM I really like Caesar's for craps, solely based on the fact that I've had good luck every single time I've been there.
Although on the strip, it makes sense to go to Casino Royale for their crap tables, it's always crowded and smoky and feels dirty. My first time was my last time because I literally got nauseous on just the secondhand cigarette/cigar smoke... and I'm a smoker.
coconutchucker 05-29-2010, 02:31 AM Roulette at Monte Carlo.
They have the single zero/European wheel. I dunno if it makes a difference in odds, but since I only see one zero it gives me that mental boost.
chrisl84pia 05-29-2010, 02:53 AM Roulette at Monte Carlo.

It makes a significant difference in terms of odds. Single zero roulette is always better than double zero.
Timmah 05-29-2010, 07:51 PM Craps at the Casino Royale... the 100X Odds are just a wicked awesome way to make some great money on the pass line. I've had some GREAT LUCK at craps playing at the MGM Grand and the Mirage...and those are my Blackjack places as well, but the SHUFFLE-MASTER machines suck for the solid BJ player.
I stay away from the Venetian, the Bellagio and the Wynn because the dealers don't know how to have fun.... and part of gambling is to have fun right>???
If I wanna have fun with low dollar value bets, I usually play at the Casino Royale or will stroll over to Big Bill's Gambling Hall, (Across the street from Bally's) and go see "BIG ELVIS" and his show at 5pm...(if you haven't seen it...you've got to!!! He's awesome and you can get a pitcher of beer for $3.00!)
I don't touch Sluts.... I mean.. Slots so I can't tell ya about those things.
I stumbled into TI in 06 to play Black Jack and the dealer was awesome. He completely made the night and our table was hopping. Doubled my money and left with my best memory of my short time in Vegas.
I ran into some serious Craps players at Hard Rock as well. They showed me the ropes. If I had been smart and brave at all I would have bet with them as they were rolling in the dough. As it was my first time to play I was too spooked to try and roll with them.
Cisco419 05-31-2010, 11:29 AM I tried a little bit of black jack this last trip over at terribles..... Shitty! Don't play there! Lol but they did have $3 craps! No 100x odds though, only 5x I believe. Had a little bit of fun on the craps table but not enough to fill my pockets.
Timmah 05-31-2010, 01:15 PM Craps is one of those games which is so streaky it's REALLY tough to get a gauge on which location has the "BEST GAME". It also depends on your definition of what a "GOOD GAME" is.
I've had two trips where the "GAME" was epic due to two different things:
1) At the BELLAGIO a few years ago, I was at a table amongst 12 HONEST TO GOD PROFESSIONAL CRAPS PLAYERS who were 'working the table' like I have never seen. Starting with a $400.00 bank roll I walked away with nearly $4,800 after a 3 hour session with those guys. The funny thing is we made most of our money on a "Rookie" shooter from Germany who was making point after point. The guy actually rolled 4 consecutive "YO'S" (11) on a come out roll. *On the come out roll, I always put a "nickel" on the "YO" and the "C&E".
2) At Caesars about 10 years ago, I was in a game of "Dice" with 10 New York business guys and my ex-wife (who was from Bronx). These guys were high rollers to the extreme...(playing Purple's on the pass line), while I was modest at $25.00, the Ex was playing MIN'S. I doubled my money in about an hour but what was "EPIC" about the game was when the Ex grabbed the dice to shoot. These guys were on her like stink on shit....
She was "lady luck" for sure and every time she hit a point (which was 8 times before she crapped out) one of the 'guys' would throw her a "BLACK CHIP" (for the efforts). They were entertaining, called out every slang term for 'Dice' and the dealers at Caesars followed along. It got so good at one point there was about 50 people watching the game. After we colored up, the Casino host offered us a suite upgrade... Not because of our "PLAY" but because one of the 'Boyz' told him to...
Where ever you play, just make sure to find a table that fits you and your needs....
ronaldrosswel89 06-01-2010, 03:14 AM Mine one is 'Blackjack'.That one is really the most interesting game for me.Make hands as close to 21 with a 48 card deck. All hands of 21 win. Split hands and late surrender allowed.
HunterDallas 07-29-2010, 11:37 AM First off, let me say that I'm not much of a gambler. I'll lose $50 or $100 and think "Man, I could bought some dinner with that money". Granted, I'm not lucky either...I once played at a casino where they had some crazy Lucky 7 or Lucky 13 blackjack table where ties lost. I thought to myself "How often do you tie in blackjack..." I lost with 20 four times in a row!!! Never again!!!
With that being said....
CRAPS (My favorite game)-- Treasure Island
I've NEVER lost at a craps table in this joint. Now mind you, I'm not breaking the bank, but of the four or five times I've rolled the bones there (over the past 3 or 4 years) I've always walked out about $50 to $100 bucks ahead. (Like I said, I'm no serious gambler)
BLACKJACK -- Nowhere
I'll never play that crooked game again!
ROULETTE -- Monte Carlo
If you're gonna play...play smart! A single zero wheel cuts the house advantage from something like 5.2% to 2.6%.
SLOTS -- Nowhere
Never trust a machine to determine when you win or lose!!
POKER -- MGM or GREEN VALLEY RANCH
MGM has a good mix of clueless tourists and real poker players, I don't kid myself...I ain't no "real" poker player. I'm looking out for the tourists whose poker experience is limited to ESPN broadcasts of the W.S.O.P. Hey, money's money no matter who you get it from.
I once sat at a $4 - $8 limit table at GREEN VALLEY RANCH just after midnight with a bunch of crazy folks (tourists and locals) with a penchant for telling dirty jokes. If you won a pot, you had to tell a dirty joke, if you didn't have one (or yours sucked) you had to tip the dealer an additional $5. Everyone was drunk and cutting up, one chick flashed a dealer instead of paying the "fine". Even the dealers were getting into the act and telling a few. I laughed so hard that night I almost wet my pants! The table kept the same 9 players until it broke up at 8:30 in the morning. It was RIDICULOUS!!
Slots R Us - Craps
cant say no to 2 dollar Heinekens either
rnjbond 08-05-2010, 07:37 AM O'Shea's for $5 Blackjack is awesome.
Tolek 08-09-2010, 02:28 PM Palazzo is my favorite all around spot but there's something about the tables at TI that draws me in.

luck!
luckythirteen 08-19-2010, 02:21 PM the only doubledeck blackjack game where they pay 2.5 to 1 blackjack odds and the dealer must stay on all 17's (including soft one's) is in the high limit room at the TI.......$50 minimum hand
khristina 11-04-2010, 11:59 PM what do you think about woman gambling,, i think everyone gambling but for some woman some reason they gamble cos they want man
jackendonald 12-09-2010, 11:03 AM I have always been impressed with Casino Royale, Planet Hollywood, palm trees and flamingos. I found a craps players annoying. For both palms, I always do well, and the IP Casino Royale.Caesars and the Venetian is also a good craps. And I learned to play really SAR random guy who was sure to roll.
Brontes_Muse 08-14-2011, 02:43 PM Paris palms and Luxor. Pai gow poker.
Luxors pretty scummy I know. But I ink I was cleopatra for halloween for like three years in a row.
theotherone 08-15-2011, 02:51 PM Craps- My favorite game. Learned to play in the Venetian 5 years ago, so I am partial. However, I sent back 2 years ago and just could not repeat the magic at the Venetian. Maybe it HAS to be 2am or later to do any good.
Also did well at NYNY a few years ago, and will probably revisit again in December. I gave PH and Casino Royale a shot...you gotta love the concept at CR. I look forward to revisiting there as well (but if my wife is with me, I will have to pass. That place can be tough to be in).
Blackjack - MGM Grand was good to my wife and I a few years ago. It was just us 2 and a guy from Jersey, real nice family man. We all sat there with some really nice dealers (the nicest was a hot Latina girl!) and managed to do pretty well. The outlet mall called my wife away though (I really really didnt want to leave).
Roulette - Only played this once, in Biloxi MS. Didnt do so hot, probably wont touch it again at least for a while. But great to know the Monte Carlo has the European style wheel!
Slots - Flamingo. Popped in here a few years ago during the day to play craps but it was slammed. So I found an older pull-handle slot in the back near a support beam and made a nice $235 profit.
Casino War - I'm not the biggest fan of this (there just is no strategy) but my wife LOVES it...and does quite well with it. I think MGM Grand was the only place that even still had it a few years ago. 5 years ago, it was at the Venetian where my wife took their money!
