As my screen name suggests, I'm a hold em fanatic. Played the $2500 WSOP event last year, but busted first day.

Anybody else play? Where are your favorite rooms?

I play but I'm not as into it as I used to be. I've been on a pretty bad streak lately so I've been taking it easy. Can't hit anything for the life of me!

I've played in many a poker circle but have yet to actually try my hand at any tables.

I prefer to keep the money I already have then lose it trying to get more. But, I'd love to actually hit some Texas Hold 'Em and some Omaha tables.

I used to play regularly at commerce casino in southern cali and whenever I hit up Vegas in the past (not recently). Nothing major, just a few hours on the $1-$2 no limit $100ish buy in tables.

I play pokher as often as I can.

I play online - never played in vegas last time i was there but plan on in feb this time around! royal flush here i come!

In Vegas, I've only played at poker room's @ Mandalay Bay and Excalibur... Don't really recall being impressed with either. Mandalay didn't have any $40 tables; $100 min.

Go down to the Bicycle casino or Commerce casino, and sit at the $40 table. hardly any sharks.

I dont like Hold em, its just not fun to me for some reason. I have a buddy i went to college with who is on the world poker tour. He plays in all the WSOP events every year and gets flown to all different places to play.

I play - Hold 'em, PLO, mainly. I'm also partial to Badugi, but haven't seen anywhere other than only where I can get a good game of it

I've played at the poker rooms at wynn, bellagio, tropicana, harrahs, excalibur... maybe a few more that I don't remember. I liked the one at harrahs. Wynn and bellagio were fancier, too fancy for my taste. Excalibur had a good amount of games going with low buy ins.

I've played at a lot of the strip property poker rooms, but for whatever reason really ended up liking the Venetian poker room the best.

I'm hoping to sit for a few sessions on the upcoming trip in May.

I love hold'em but I haven't played it much lately. easy money is at hooters casino in vegas. not a nice room but not good players either.

Used to play quite a bit during law school.. have slowed down considerably in the last 2 years though.

Limit Hold'Em and PLO were my fav. Tournaments more so than cash. We should set up a JC online poker tourney!

I'm weary of playing Hold Em in casinos, but I usually rake some money in playing 7 card Stud. Not offered in every poker room, but Mirage usually has a Stud game, and I always play at Mohegian and Foxwoods when I go there.

My favourite is still Party poker from the beginnings when I started playing.

MGM is a great place to pop your cherry. Its a very easy going attitude at the lower limits. A majority of the dealers, players and staff are all very helpful to newbies.

If you like poker, I highly recommend you take the time to sit down and enjoy. I love to sit at something like 2-4 or 3-6 limit, get great drink service, and realize an hour later I made some friends, got hammered and played poker without losing a dime.
The right table with the right players+dealers can be just as good as a casual bar. You wont regret it, who cares what others think, just sit and have some fun.

My first trips, the Mirage had the busiest poker rooms, but I was always too intimidated to play. Then I found MGM, and now Im good playing anywhere, though I always prefer the Lion for a good time.
My favourite part is how the serious players get ticked off at the music from the Centrifuge bar, and Im just lovin' it.

If you stick to the lower limits you should be fine. You'll probly still deal with players getting bad beats, specially if your the one giving them the beats! lol

But dont you guys have casinos up in NorCal? I'd say just to not be 100% new to a poker room check one out one day. That's what I did down here in Diego. They actually used to have a $1/1 game with a $20-40 buy-in that I started playing. Had some awesome times with those lower limits.

A fellow player "bought" me one after a bad beat (they actually charged for it), but the waitress stopped charging us after the 2nd round, and then we kept going back and forth just for fun, and suddenly like 5/6 people at the table were drinking it with us.

I think I had like 4/5 Red Bulls that night. Never again.

Bankroll is pretty healthy after this last trip. Stashed some away for the next one. I hardly played any poker, but did manage to come out ahead overall in that respect. Overall gaming was about even. Good luck this week.

I play a good amount, venetian, bellagio, and the wynn are good rooms and where I play the most often. Citycenters is starting to pick up as well especially on the weekends. Normally play 2,5. with some 5.10 every once in a while.

I will be looking to play this coming weekend. Last time I was in town I found the card room at The Venetian to be excellent. I was staying at the Encore, so the location was perfect and they had low stakes tables ($1/$2 NL).

As far as tournaments go, I think the best bang for the buck might actually be at The Orleans. You get a deep stack for ~$40 (+$3 or something for some bonus chips). I think the blinds moved every 15 minutes or so, so you had time and chips to pick your spots.

texas holdem is my favorite , i like to play poker too.. maybe you can try casino online , it's good

Hard question to answer, depends on your limits (to select a favorite poker room).

Bellagio, Venetian and Aria for 5/10NL and above with Belliago leading the pack (best game selection).

I prefer the Venetian the most for tournaments. For cash games I prefer the more low stake casinos.

I'll be in Vegas next week. Going to try out the PH poker room, if it's not fishy enough, to the MGM. Can't wait.
