Here's a good craps method

With this betting method you will win on EVERY roll but seven

Place bet the 5 , 6, 8

Place 50% of your 5,6 or 8 bet on the field

Example you have $10 on the 5, $12 on the 6 and $12 on the 8
Place $6 on the field.

You win a minimum of $6 bucks in EVERY number rolled but a 7

You have 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12 covered with 4 bets

If 5,6,8 roll then you lose your field but get $15 for the number hitting, you take $6 from the $15 and replace your field bet

if the field hits 2,3,4,9,10,11, 12 then your field bets stay up and you get paid 6 bucks from the field line , double if the 2 or 12 hits.

Don't forget the hoppin bets

One rolls bets paying fat odds

Personally I love to throw down 2 dollar high lows, one roll bet pays 30-1 if a 2 or 12 hits

Feeling lucky how many times has 12 or 2 rolled rolled back to back ? Well turn 2 dollars into 450 in 2 rolls

Example

1 buck on the 2 and 12
12 hits you get $30
Split the 30 putting 15 on the 2 and 15 on 12
Either 2 or 12 hit again your paid

$15x30=$ 450

Bada boom bada bing

Just if it doesn't hit for the second time look at it as only losing 2 bucks instead of taking your 30 or else you will regret not taking the first payoff

Nice! Craps is a blast especially if your on a hot roll! I like to throw a few bucks on the hard ways, usually like 20% of your bet.

I found that you can get a hang of the basics by reading up on it, but people are usually pretty cool about helping you out at the table if you ask questions, at least the lower-limit tables.

Craps is my favorite game in the casino. Its lively, its fun, especially if the table is HOT. You just have a ton of fun and iRock that sounds like an interesting strategy. Ill try it when im out there this weekend.

You need to play to learn. Reading only gets you so far but go to a table and just play a bit and ask questions. Or at least watch a cold table for a bit while only 1 or 2 people are there and you will learn how things go just by watching the dice and the chips.

my favorite bet is the 4 dollar horn (its just fun to say)

I like the Horn High Yo. $5 bet that gets you all 4 horn bets with the extra dollar on the Yo.

Craps is so much fun. I was on a great roll last July (esp after playing with IRock! he really does know how to play!). People are pretty friendly ive found to help you out in the extra bets.

I say if you are a newbie just play 6 and 8 and then figure out what you want to do once you get it down a little more.

I found NYNY actually a fun place to play since it was lower bets. Will never play at IP or Excalibur...I hated it and no one could throw the dice. It killed me.

Craps is the only game I play....except some penny slots while milking free drinks. It is a lot more fast paced than other table games. Keeps my brain busy, instead of "wondering" what the dealer has. yawn... I learned to play from my Dad. He has it down cold. They only problem is he plays with the house (Don't pass) and not the shooter (Pass Line). This is when things get very confusing. You are betting that a seven will be rolled, and it will. But in the mean time, every time a point hits, you have to ante up again. The house never loses in the long run. How else was Vegas built???

Sounds like a plan! I played with Nyce when we took a trip down to Freemont but everyone got bored so we stopped after him and I rolled. He did get on a decent little roll! He kept hitting 8's like no other!

with a pair of dice, there are 6 combinations a 7 can come up. leaving the odds of a 7 rolling 6 in 36. The key is to run this method when the table is hot, when its hot you can do really well. you can also play cat and mouse, leave that bet out there for 2 hits then take them all down. you do not have to be the shooter, if theres a hot shooter just use that method.

I have also made and seen people make alot of money on the dont pass line. When the tables ice cold , dont fight it, take the dont pass line.

this is a very good site to learn about the different bets and strategies.

http://wizardofodds.com/craps

and they have a little simulator to practice on here:

http://wizardofodds.com/play/craps/

I like Irock's "anything but seven" strategy and have heard of some decent success from it. But my main strategy I play is pass with double odds - and two come bets with double odds. If I get up 50% of my initial buy in (up to $300 with a $200 buy in) I change my odds to 3x-4x-5x odds. That is if I have a $10 passline point or come bet established at a 4 or 10 I'd place $30 odds on it, 5 or 9 would be $40 and 8 or 6 would be $50... if the table is cold I will play the don't pass with one dont come with odds and turn away from the table and not look at anyone and hope I hear the crew say seven out pay the donts

I learned through may sister-master at knowing the payouts-she has even corrected the dealers at times!

This is a strategy I've never tried, sounds interesting. I'm usually a strict pass line, odds, 2 come bets with odds, max. Sometimes a field bet or a $2 yo. If I get on a hot table I will def try this method out.

During my first trip, I was walking through the then Aladdin, and they had a hotel pro showing people how to play. They lowered the limits and he'd walk the whole table through the different ways to play. I know that looking at that table setup, it can look a bit complicated, but he showed us how to play without having to know all the extra stuff. I think it was more about how much to bet. The 'class' played there for a few hours and we all did pretty well at the end. Next time you have couple hours to kill, you should ask the concierge or pit boss about when the next class is. I think some hotels still have Pros to teach you.

I never learned craps...

So, how much do you play on the pass if the point is 5, 6, or 8? Also, how much do you play behind the pass? I'm heading to Vegas tomorrow and may try this system. Thanks for the help!
