So i'm doing like a mini hs-re union with some friends in Vegas (mix of guys & girls)..and we want to do a bottle service at one of the clubs in Vegas sat night Nov 3rd. How early should I make the reservation (or rather...no later than?). If we plan to just stick with one club should we just stick with the clubs directly (via the contacts on the JC website). How do guests lists work for the tables? (i'm assuming access to the table, but you still have to wait in line and pay cover).
Lastly, any recommendations for that saturday night? I'm debating between Tryst, Tao, possibly Pure or Moon. Thanks a bunch.

i would say call 2 weeks or so before you go. once you reserve a table, you will not have to wait in line or pay a cover. i normally call whoever my vip host is, once i arrive, and he'll get you right in, make sure you take care of him, and they will take care of you;)

also, my personal favorite place in vegas is tryst, but you really cant go wrong going to any of the majors on a saturday night, they will all be packed.

Hey Griff,
Thanks for the response. I talked it over with my group and it looks like the popular vote was Tao...and Moon second. Moon was giving us a smaller bottle minimum..but then again..we may want 3 bottles (rather than just 2) for our group of 8 anyway...Thanks a bunch.

So after making reservations with your host..is there any other things I should do? re-confirmations? or things I should expect from the host? (which would determine the size of their tip).

tao is definitly a good choice, it will be packed. definitly try to get a table in the main room tho. the 1st time we went there we ended up in a side room, that was set aside pretty much just for tables. was an awesome time, but we just have a much better time in the main room. you'll have to go thru your host to try to get in there.

normally ill book the reservation 2-3 weeks before we go, and ill give a call to my host a day or 2 before just to confirm everything. especially if you were to go thru a junior host. ive had a reservation dropped the 1st year we were there, since we went thru "a new guy"
but as long as you stick with the names on the first page of this site youll be fine. larson is the man to talk to at tao.

things to expect and also how i base my tip....1. how well they treat you. ive had a few act like complete dicks and make it seem like theyre going out of their way to get you into the club. i know its vegas and all, but still, your spending a dickload of money for a table, i expect to be treated like a decent human being. ive had a few others who were the coolest fucking people ive ever met. and ive actually ended up partying with on another night. 2.making sure i got the table i wanted...and that i was happy with it once i was in there. 3. usually my group is all guys, so we'll have our host feed us girls out of the line all night...some do it, some say they'll do it and dont. 4. chances are your host is a popular guy. he knows a lot of people at a lot of clubs. if your lookin to go to an afterhours place or a club the next night, talk to him, and he can probably get you in touch with the right people.

hopefully this helps...any other questions feel free to ask.

Yeah so I went with Tao. My friends and I all had an awesome time. Our table was in the side room, but I think we liked it better that way because it wasn't a b*tch to get to/leave our table. I was surprised that Larson didn't walk us to our table at all, but he was still cool and helped out a lot prior via emails and calls..so I gave him a smaller tip. I think our Table Assistant was the man though. Anyway yeah Tao was definitely a good time.

So how much did you end up tipping him? And was the tip upfront of at the end of the night?

I tipped our host $40 at the beginning of the night, cus well..he never walked us to our table, or even said HI to us..I actually went down to find him ..cus i still wanted to thank him for helping us in general reserving the table and answering all prior questions.

The bouncer I gave $50 cus he was super cool always checking on us, and helped escort our ladies to the bathroom when needed.

Our table assistant got $100 cus he came by constantly helped keep the good vibe going at times, and was just a solid dude. Our group thought he was "cool as sh*t" (in the good way).

Our server, we didn't tip extra. She did a decent job, but nothing out of the ordinary. and we figured the automatic 20% gratuity on our tab which was around $265 was good enough (assuming at worse case she got at least 1/3rd of it).

did you tip everyone at the end of the night or upfront? Last year I went to Body English and had to tip the host and the waitress upfront, we tipped the guy that kept our ice and mixers fresh throughout the night.

The gratuity on the bill was upfront cus they had me sign for the bottles up front. Towards the end of the night is when i started giving the extra tips for the table assistant and bouncer based off of the service they gave.
