View Full Version : Halloween Weekend
naterizzle 09-24-2007, 06:03 PM Do you have any special tips for going to Vegas the weekend before Halloween? We have heard that it is a pretty busy time there. We have a group of 8 guys that are going for a birthday celebration and we are staying at the Venetian, so we're planning to hit Tao up Friday night when everyone gets in. With this large of a group on a busy weekend, should we just plan ahead and pick 3 clubs to get bottle service at the 3 nights we are there? Thanks to Jack's site, we were tentatively thinking Tao on Friday, possibly PURE on Saturday, and Body English on Sunday. Is there anything else a bunch of mid-20's wild ass single guys need to know besides to ALWAYS double down on 11? (Like, should I pack a costume.....) Thanks!
_LasVegasSands_ 09-10-2009, 01:48 PM I'll leave the majority of your questions to the pro's on here. But I can tell you one thing for an absolute fact. Tao at the VVV will be rockin.
I come to Vegas to play poker in some pretty large games and can report that last year during Halloween Weekend, due to the proximity of the poker room to the front door that everyone comes in (beside the escalators) we couldn't get 10 hands dealt per hour for two freaking days. Players, dealers, and even the floor managers couldn't take their eyes off of all the wild people in costume.
Almost everyone I saw wore a costume to be honest. And most were either store bought/rented or very well thought out. I didn't see too many people with holes cut out of sheets to be ghosts...lol.
I swore I would never go back during that weekend, because I don't go out there to drink, I'm there to play poker....so yes...I will be ariving Oct 30 and leaving Nov 13 to play in the Venetian Deepstack Poker Tournaments. When was Halloween this year??? Oct 31st?? DOH!!
You guys are going to have a GOOD time. Lots of stripper/hooker costumes. I would get there early, for what its worth, even if you get table service which you probably better order sooner rather than later for this weekend. The line to get in Tao looked like it streched all the way to Harrahs.

Well, you could dress as women and hope to skip the lines :o Seriously, though, on a hot weekend in the fall timeframe, 8 guys will require a table unless you break the group up. I'd go with Tao/Tryst on Friday/Saturday and then maybe BE Sunday, but keep that open for other possibilities. I imagine XS will be wild that weekend, too... Maybe have the Palms clubs as a backup on Friday/Saturday. EDIT: And now I see the original post was from 2007 - hey, what gives?!?

lol I think if I was the host I would definitely let you skip the line for the brilliant effort. :D
