Palazzo
Preface:
This trip was a pain to organize, but it sure was worth it as it lived up to the hype leading up to it and then some. I went on this trip with Mr. Vegas. Anyways, one of my best friends was getting married and we were trying to decide where to go. One of our friends threw out Port Aransas, which is a little fishing town on the coast of Texas to go fishing on a chartered boat. I was like WDH? What kind of friend are you? Our boy's getting married, and you want to take him fishing, something he can do after he's married any time he wants? So, anyways, I was pushing for Vegas, since the groom to be and 2 of the groomsman have never been. Plus we had a couple of other friends that might want to go, and they would be first timers. Anyways, we finally settled on Vegas for Labor Day Weekend.
Initially, this trip was like 10 guys, then blew up to like 27 guys and 1 girl -- friends from Dallas, Austin, and Houston, Texas. My friend decided to bring his GF on this trip which I think is insane to bring your GF to Vegas. It was basically like self torture as you can't do jack and you gotta stare straight ahead at all times. Since we had so many guys, I got one of my friends to go through his VIP to setup all the arraigments at the hotel and clubs early. He had alot of credit in Vegas since he want all the time and gambled. What started out as a bachelor party, also turned into a bday celebration for Mr. Vegas and 2 other peeps.
Day1 (Thurs) - SR
On the day we left for Vegas my friends came and picked me up from work. I had to finish this presentation as they pulled up so I kinda rushed it and just took off. We were actually pressing for time and hit a traffic jam and had to pump gas, but somehow, we got there before the cut off time by like minutes according to the check in guy. (Yea, I like to live life on the edge). About 10 of us were on da plane. I had a rum and coke on the plane to kick off the festivities. We land in Vegas at about 7pm.
Once we got to Vegas, our limos met us up and dropped us off at the Palazzo. Our initial group had 2 connecting suites, the Sienna and the Bella Suite. We checked in through VIP, and tried to upgrade to the Lago Suite, but they said it didn't have a connecting room so we declined, as we decided that we needed 2 rooms, one room to party and the other for whoever wanted to sleep. Still, we got a pretty good deal due to my friend's credit. Mr. Vegas and our other group of friends had the same setup on the 5th floor while we were on the 47th floor. One other group got the smallest suite at Palazzo so we basically had 5 rooms. We quickly checked out our pimped out suites and met up one of our friends who lived in Vegas. Anyways, if anyone has stayed in the Sienna suite before, can tell you its freaking huge, bigger then most people's apartments. The restroom is bigger then some people's bedrooms. Our connecting room, the Bella Suite ain't for chumps either. Anyways, some of the people in our group from Austin and Houston had arrived earlier, so they met us up at our hotel room too, to unload.
Our friend drives us to bellagio to eat the bombass Oxtail at Noodle and then we Went to check out Mr Vegas' suite and started to get our drink on. Anyways, Mr. Vegas started pouring us some swole ass shots. We drank about 2 rounds and the third round we told him to slow his roll, as the night was still young and we had a long weekend ahead. Anyways,
he said something to the effect of "Yalls some bitches", chugs his shot, and throws it all up immediately right in middle of the Palazzo suite's living room. We all had a great laugh (Sorry for mentioning this Mike, if you're reading this, but I gotta keep things interesting) and went downstairs to roam the casino
and grab a few drinks at the bar. Initially, we had said Thurs would be somewhat of a chill night and we would just play it by ear, but Mike throws out Lavo, and I said I'm down, but after some thought, I decided we should take the groom to hit up the stripjoint since we were going to be hitting clubs the other nights. So I go and call Spearmint Rhino and ask them to bring one of their party buses for a group of about 20 guys (Mr. Vegas and company decided to go to Lavo after all). Anyways the bus comes and picks up close to 1am and we kind of have a lil mini preparty on the bus.
We got there and they brought us to our table. Anyways, if you haven't been to Spearmint, I can tell you that the girls there are ruthless. They all coming swarming up to you like vultures, acting like they care about your feelings, asking what you do, etc, when damn well all they want is the $20 for the lapdance. I had told my friends, if anyone asks, I'm a neurosurgeon for the weekend. Anyways I can't elaborate much more with else went on as I don't want to incriminate any of my friends, but I can say everyone had a ball of a time, including the groom to be. One of my friend's actually got a lapdance from Francine Dee (If yall don't know who she is, she's actually an import car model). He didn't know who she was, as he wasn't really into that, but she told him who she was and he pointed her out to me later, I was like o yea, I know her, wdh is she dong here? I guess she's doing big things now. One of my friends is sad from losing some money already, so I buy him a few dances. One of my other friend's is a krazy drunk (everyone has one of these in their groups, right) and I think he started freaking out some of the stippers so we bounced.
It's about 3am, and a few people head to chinatown to go eat a late nite meal, while a few of us head back to the hotel. Back at the hotel, 2 of my friend's decided to go eat at Grand Luxe. I told them they should get their rest in Vegas, as they won't enjoy the trip as much if they don't have energy, but it was their first time in Vegas and guess they were still anxious to peep the scene. Damn rookies. Anyways, I didn't want any part of that and knocked out at about 4am. My krazy drunk friend from the night before's cell phone alarm goes off at like 6am (damn fool didn't turn it off his alarm to wake him up for work). I yell at him to turn it off, but in his inebriated state my cries are unheard, so I had to get up myself, grab the phone from his pocket and turn it off myself and go back to sleep. Anyways, there's alot more craziness to this TR, so stay tuned.
