View Full Version : Best Bars/ Lounges/ Restaurants to Pre-Drink on the Strip.. without the damage
Strong 07-30-2009, 04:50 PM Lets say you forgot to make a liquor run and do not have any at all in your hotel room to power up before tearing up the clubs. Where do you guys recommend for pre-drinking but without the damage to your wallet?? Thanks in advance!
nyc2vegas 07-30-2009, 05:00 PM JC suggests sitting at the slots stalking the waitress and just getting drinks from her for a while....while slowly dropping qyarters into the slots....OR during the week look for the spyonvegas happy hours OR sit down at a bar with joker poker machines throw a $20 in play the min and youll drink the whole time with that $20
I always gamble for free drinks. There are some places I go for pre-game, depending on where Im going that night. But the prices are still the same.
Strong 07-30-2009, 05:24 PM Hmm.. so just sit and gamble at the floor casinos? What are some of those place you are talking about dnix? I dont mind going to a place before the clubs as long as it is cool/fun
nyc2vegas 07-30-2009, 05:27 PM thunder down under :D
Strong 07-30-2009, 05:36 PM Na.. the only thunder from down under action going on is when i may be puking all over the damn toilet somewhere.. I'll pass on banana hammock dancing
In that case, I guess I have no suggestions
Strong 07-30-2009, 05:55 PM j/k man... lets hear em.. trying to look for places to entertain my people that weekend..haha
I like carnival court in front of harrahs. Its a good place to get rowdy. V-bar at the Venetian. Carmel at Bellagio.
Id get to the club super early, and pre-game at a bar near the club. If your not going to a club that night.....Carnival Court.
manda 07-30-2009, 07:05 PM for pre-gaming, a few of us went to RockHouse in front of the Imperial Palace and drinks are pretty reasonable ($5/6 for a mixed vodka drink). Otherwise we look for the happy hour specials. We really enjoy Ra's happy hour. $3 mixed drinks..but then now thinking of that, I think that starts at 10.
manda 07-30-2009, 07:07 PM I also second V bar. Vodka 7 was $6 bucks and a great place to be. Bar staff was really friendly.
Strong 07-30-2009, 07:51 PM Yea cant go wrong with RA.. We have one here in Houston and actually I'm there quite a bit. Its one of the few happening spots here. Thanks guys for the help. I will try to remember these spots for sure

SAKI BOMB!!!!!!! Gets me very happy very quickly.
Where is the Ra in vegas?
Staggered_UK 07-31-2009, 04:19 AM I agree with dnix on Carnival Court..I haven't been there yet but will definitely be paying a visit when i'm in town - it sounds like a fun dirty place to get messed up.
But is it open late (2/3am), or is it more of an afternoon / early evening place?

tschwicht 08-01-2009, 03:10 PM Rockhouse - $5 jagerbombs.
Any video poker bar - as nyc said toss in a couple bucks, slam your drinks (tip of course) and maybe even make your money back.
The first 15 minutes of my last trip I won $200 at blackjack and got up. The second 15-20 minutes I dropped $20 in like nyc said at video poker bar, literally slammed about 8-9 vodka redbulls, and cashed out even. I was playing $0.25 minimum, the thing is they will tell you to play max credits to drink. Basically $1.25 a hand, but they don't watch unless you're slamming away like I was. Cheapest drunk I got in Vegas.
Strong 08-02-2009, 12:14 AM hahah. That's awesome. Thanks for the info man
IndianDude 08-05-2009, 04:36 PM Casino Royale...
They don't do mixed drinks...but...
Jack & Coke = $1.50
Tequila Sunrise = $1.50
Vodka & Cranberry = $1.50
Gin & Tonic = $1.50
So after 4 drinks on $6, I was feeling pretty good.

I gotta second this, down at Green Valley Ranch while waiting on the rest to turn up I played for a solid 3 hours on the video poker (got 1 lucky hit of $120) but other than that stayed even and drank lots... walked about that $120 up
It gets a bit dangerous towards the end, dutch courage and all that... that royal flush is due up soon isnt it.... gotta be the next hand I should max bet.....
Strong 08-09-2009, 06:22 PM Is this the rockhouse in front of imperial palace?
