I loved that ABC store, reminds me of Hawaii. dnix 07-28-2009, 04:51 PM there a couple of liquor stores between PH and the Walgreens partyinvegas25 07-30-2009, 12:42 AM When I stay at signature or MGM, I always go to ABC...they aren't the cheapest, but they are fine for pregaming. Addicted and I went to Gold Coast and you get 10% off all liquor. I would have liked a little more selection, but overall, they really do just fine. A smaller bottle of smirnoff (not a fifth but not a normal size) was like $11. Red Bulls were $2.50 a pop...they also had juices and other stuff. They had a ton of nips, which I didn't buy, but they had all the regulars. Cigs were $8 a pack, which since I don't normally buy them, i don't know what a good price is. Overall I liked it...the vodka was gone in like 24 hrs though, so I def should have gotten the bigger bottle! What shelf do they sell those on? lol uejjap 08-03-2009, 07:57 PM I HAVE RETURNED!! lol and I come bearing gifts! I went to a few liquor stores (Lee's, Gold Coast & Southpoint). The cheapest was DEFINITELY the Southpoint! (with the Gold Coast not too far behind) For example... at Lee's a bottle of Courvoisier XO was $129.99, at Gold Coast it was $109 (minus 10% on all liquor with a players card = $98.10) and at the South Point it was $94. Grey Goose Vodka at SP was $25. It is a bit further down the strip so it might only make sense if you have a car, in that case, opt for the Gold Coast + Players Card. Do you know how much a bottle of Grey Goose or Belveder is at Gold Coast? I was thinking of bringing one from the duty free section but if a bottle is only 25$ in LV than its even cheaper than on the airport. nyc2vegas 08-04-2009, 07:21 AM Any one know if you can bring drinks in your checked baggage? yes but for $30 its really not worth it cause if it breaks all your clothes are ruined, just buy it when you get into town! Keebler 08-04-2009, 12:22 PM I have brought a bottle in my carry on bag before had did not have a problem. How do the TSA's not have a problem with that? Where the TR? cthip 08-04-2009, 05:38 PM Any one know if you can bring drinks in your checked baggage? my friends and i bring bottles in our checked bags all the time. over the years we've brought probably around 15 bottles and none have broken. just pack it well so it doesn't move around in your bag and make sure your suitcase is at least semi-rigid so it doesn't get crushed. if you're super paranoid, most liquor bottles will fit in a travel wine case or those wooden gift-boxes that wine sometimes comes in. or, keep in mind that a standard 750mL is around 25oz or a little over 3 cups and will fit in some plastic/nalgene or stainless steel water bottles--just think of it as a "super flask!" http://www.amazon.com/Oggi-Lustre-Aluminum-Sport-Bottle/dp/B0014JG7EO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1249433099&sr=1-5 bringing your own isn't really gonna save you much cash in the grand scheme of things, but we usually go to bevmo together a few days before as sort of a pre-trip tradition and each pick out a nice bottle of scotch or something that we probably wouldn't find (or would be prohibitively expensive) at a vegas liquor store. i remember the last time two people were skeptical about packing a bottle and we ultimately talked them into it. their flight arrived in vegas a couple of hours before ours and when we got to the hotel room they stumbled out into the hallway giggling and 2/3 of the bottle was gone. needless to say they were very pleased that we had convinced them to bring it! Two girls one vegas 08-04-2009, 07:49 PM ...plastic/nalgene or stainless steel water bottles--just think of it as a "super flask!" I love the idea of the super flask! It just seems easyer to have it with you when you get there. Starting the pre-party right away sounds much better than tracking down a store.
