anyone been up to MIX for dinner or for the lounge? what do you think of it? worth it? I found yesterday on restaurants.com or whatever $25 for $2, thought I might check it out next time im down. Looks cool since your so high up there.

the view is the best in vegas imo its a view of the whole strip but very close up!! and last time I went it was rather new so there was a good crowd there, not sure about anymore, but you can go wrong with that deal

alright, well then Im just going to have to check it out next time just for the heck of it. That's how the views are out here in Chicago at the Hancock building. Best city view bar far is from the Women's bathroom.

i liked mix a lot. i went a few years ago..mainly because of the interior architecture of it..so beautiful..the food like tango said is forgettable..EXCEPT their mac and cheese appetizer. the chef came around and gave us freshly baked madelaines with warm chocolate sauce for free. nice touch i think ?

yes they do

I loved The Mix when there a couple of yr's ago. Drank a couple bottles of wine and watched the lights of the city come on as the sunset, def. a cool experience. Great music, must try sitting on the balcony in a bed lounger, and need I mention the view from the toilet. ;-) We only drank there so I can't critique the restaurant.

+1 (to the quote). I think the best thing was my wife's appreciation of the view in the bathroom. The food was good, not great. Arg, I need to finish my TR! Three of six of us ordered Halibut and three of the six of us didn't finish it. Alaskans shouldn't order seafood on vacation is the lesson there.

Mix is awesome. I remember the first time up there I saw a lightning storm in the desert. While it was nice outside on the top floor of Mandalay Bay. The food was decent. I got a sampler thing at the bar that included a glass of wine. It was a sampling platter laid out nicely. There are always open bars up there and it fills up nicely. So def check it out.

Between the two of us we spend about $150 before tips. Quality of the food was great, I'm sure there are better restaurants in Vegas, but I thought for the money it was great.

Chris the Mix is a lounge that converts to a club at 11pm when the DJ starts. He plays dance music and they do have a small dance floor with lights. I've usually left by 10pm to go out for dinner, but the earlier you go the quiter (lounge like) it is but it fills quickly as the sun starts setting. They also have outside balcony seating. FYI the restaurant is seperate & around the corner from the bar, it does not tranform into the bar. I'm kinda a foody and gotta say the menu did not appeal to me.

I definatley enjoyed the food when I ate there ... I did the tasting menu and like most of it..... Got a great table with an Excellent view... the service was food... then went over to the club side ... been there a few times before, as I stay at The Hotel a lot.
