I just heard Social House is closing after Sunday!!! I'm crushed.. Damn new TI owners!!!!!

Well, they are relocation to somewhere else on the strip.. Looks like the new TI owners are looking to make the resort more "wallet friendly".. Christian Audigier will likely close as well..

Man, I'm sorry for YOUR loss...but I thought the sushi there was awful. The place did have a nice look and feel to it though.

I did omakase there one night and I thought it was unbelievable, then again it was my 3rd night out there so I wasnt in tip top shape

You know, when I stayed at TI last month I didn't really notice Social House all that full. Of course I could say the same for about every restaurant I ate at or passed by.

Whatever their motive are, trying to be wallet-friendly or otherwise I can't blame them if the place isn't bringing in revenue. Same with CA (not to mention the theme was a loser to begin with). Since I've stayed there twice I hope for their sakes they choose replacements carefully - it's not a bad place overall, but TI's 2 steps away from becoming the Excaliber of that end of the strip...

ouch thats harsh. I stayed at TI about 18-24 months ago and I enjoyed it. is it going downhill that fast? wow the only thing I could think of it that mgm stopped paying attn to it before they sold it

I totally agree.. You're surrounded by Wynn, Mirage, Caesars, Venetien, Palazzo and Encore and you're trying to get rid of your two biggest attractions.. Not a smart move..

Or, considering the surrounding competition, it might actually be a smart move. Right now TI is only a little bit cheaper to stay at than everything on that corner. What's the incentive to go to TI if Mirage and Palazzo are just a wee bit more?

It may actually be a good business move. The facility is nice, all the rooms are remodled well. It could turn into a great budget resort for that end of the strip.

You can have affordable rooms but still have one hot restaurant and club that the stushier crowd would go to.. best of both worlds.. don't get them to sleep there, at least get them to eat and drink there..

I see your point. But there could be other, or hidden costs we don't see in keeping higher-profile businesses (if this is their plan, to go cheaper). Guess we will have to wait and see!
