Last time I was at Jet, I was on burn patrol...some loser was like inches from burning my friends' hands and I was not happy.

You just summed up my saturday night at Tryst. Every guy that stepped on me was really apologetic tho so that was nice. Great time but....I get what you are saying.

Ellejay, i recommend you never go to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Ive been twice and i have some insane stories and the things that go on there are beyond words sometimes. Women cant walk around Bourbon st without getting gropped every 10 ft. I wont allow my wife to ever go for Mardi Gras.

I've been grabbed by the arm MANY MANY times. I have to be honest, it is super scary for a guy to reach out and grab my arm so that I stop in my tracks. 4. TOTALLY agree about the guys who hit on anything that move. I hate it even worse when they act like I am the jerk beause I don't feel like having them heavy breath on me.

5. Also an aside, I hate it when I am looking up reviews on Yelp and everytime a girl gets into a club free she has to go on and on and on about it! Most girls get in free!!!

6. I hate when guys at the club try to undo a piece of my clothing. Once I was dancing with a guy and I found him trying to undo a knot on my dress. Another time a zipper. Its so creepy and weird. :(

#1 - me too! i've totally given up on heels in clubs there, its just too ridiculous, once you add in the slippery floor, hard ass asphalt outside, and all the people that will step directly on your open toe sandal and not even notice

Sounds like everything you see on a daily night down Bourbon St. Ive seen some crazy things happen (and have been part of some but thats for another time) but if you went to college there you know exactly what im talkin about. I have a buddy who went to Tulane at the same time i was in college.

The think about guys is even when girls are DTF they need a little more than some quick dry humping on the dancefloor and drunken grabbing. Some girls I know who are.... lets just say..... easy breezy, are still really put off by that. It pretty much shows that the guy is going to be lame in the sack.

The wost thing that ever happend to me was a night at the roxbury stunt. Two guys on either side of me making rude humping motions on me while I was dancing with some one else. I'm sure it was very funny, just not from my position. The worst is that I couldn't get them to stop, I guess I'm too nice but they kept coming back until I had to go sit down.

As an inactive participant in the pursuit of random women, I know first hand that the problem with "cute and shy" is that you're at the mercy of whatever woman is drunk & confident enough to come your way!

IMHO being laidback and shy is only going to work for above avg looking guys (majority of the time). If your below avg, you need a good personality. You really need to be able to sale yourself. Regardless of looks, if your good at selling yourself, you'll fall into 2 categories. You'll either be the fun guy that all the girls want to be around, or you'll be the prick that's known for the "use them and loose them".

From my personal experience: Ive had very attractive women grab me, and drag me on the dance floor, BUT the MAJORITY of the time this is how is works.

Unattractive women: very aggresive, grabs you and tries to drag you on the dance floor, and occasionally decides she can convince you by attempting to hump you right were your standing.

Average women: Smiles, will walk by and rub her hand across your stomach or chest, or grab your ass, but keeps wlaking. Shes just making it clear shes interested,and now the ball is in your court.

Very attractive women: Smiles, will generally look away when you catch her looking. Shes used to guys chasing her. Shes letting you know she MIGHT be interested, but its up to you to keep the interest going.

Personally, I dont chase women at all. There are categories that fall between these, but this is generally what Ive seen.

Ellejay, i recommend you never go to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Ive been twice and i have some insane stories and the things that go on there are beyond words sometimes. Women cant walk around Bourbon st without getting groped every 10 ft. I wont allow my wife to ever go for Mardi Gras.


I've never been to Mardi Gras, but I have been to New Orleans. I see it as VEGAS, but on the cheap (where else can you get a tray of 24 shots for 48.00? But, I have seen a guy get dropped on Bourbon Street for talking dirty to a girl. The sad part was there were no cops in sight (you'd figure there'd be because it was Bourbon Street)...
